CARTER OBSERVATORY MR. M. GEDDES APPOINTED [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, March 7. The appointment is announced of Mr. Murray Geddes, director of the Aurorae and Zodiacal Light Section of the New Zealand Astronomical Society, as director of the new Carter Observatory being erected adjacent to the Dominion Observatory at Kelburn. The appointment was made by the Carter Observatory Board. Mr. Geddes is at present stationed at South Hillend, Invercargill. He will take up his new duties on April 1.
