CORONATION OF POPE
MARCH 12 MENTIONED A SIMPLE TRIBUTE. Received March 3. 5.5 p.m. VATICAN CITY. March 2. The coronation of the Pope is expected to take place on March 12. After the election ritual. Cardina Pacelli, now Pope Pius XII, returns to his conclave cell, No. 13, because hi was extremely fatigued and did no desire the tiring removal to the Papa apartments until to-morrow. After the Angelus had been chantei in the Basilica of St. Peter and th departure of the last of the faithfu the Pope descended the stairs of thgrotto of St. Peter, where Pius XI lie buried. The new Pope expressed th wish to be alone before the tomb o the man who was his teacher, anfrequently referred to him as ‘'Ou beloved son." He knelt for fiv minutes at the tomb and then went t his cell, wherein had been placed, a the result of his wish, tlpe simple bedstead whereon his predecessor hac died.
