FOR CHRISTCHURCH COLLEGE. IMPORT REGULATIONS. [ Ter I’iess Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 3. The refusal of the Customs Department. to allow the importation ot text beeks for the use of Christchurch Technical College was reported to the Board of Governors by’ the Registrar, Mr. W. H. Joyce. The restriction applies to 100 geography text books ordered from Australia. The Registrar said that considerable trouble had been experienced and he had received a rather peremptory refusal from the Customs Department. The question was referred to the finance committee with power to act.
