FROZEN MEAT TRADE
LONDON LAMB MARKET SLOW The Bank of Australasia has received the following cable, dated London, January 3, from its London office:— Frozen lamb: New Zealand prime quality have now been non-existent till end of last week, when a few of new season’s arrived and made around Bid; very slow trade, however, at this price. Australian lambs met with moderate demand, but larger quantities arriving have caused prices to weaken. Frozen mutton: Market quiet for both wethers and ewes, but prices remain steady. Frozen beef: Moderate supplies, market quiet, prices slightly lower.
