The Foreign Office in London state; that the Loyalist destroyer Jose LuL Diez will not be interned, as no question of belligerency is involved. It is believed that she will be allowed ti undergo repairs in Gibraltar Harboui as she did formerly. A Republican communique from Barcelona states that the authorities in Gibraltar refused a request by the captain of the Jose Luis Diez for an extension of the vessel's stay to ensure its seaworthiness, so he went lu sea to avoid internment. He allege, that he was attacked while in Britisn territorial waters. A communique issued by the rebels insists that only the minelayer Vuicano engaged the Jose. It does not mention the loss of a minelayer or the ramming of another.
