LOOK-OUT MAN’S ESCAPE

BULLET SHATTERS WINDOW ROTORUA, Dec. 29. A narrow escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr. J. Heath, the State Forestry Department’s lookout at the look-out station on the top of the Rainbow Mountain, about 20 miles from Rotorua, on Boxing Day, when a bullet fired from a heavy calibre rifle shattered one of the windows of the small hut in which he was sitting. It is not known whence the bullet came.
