LOYALIST CRUISER LEAVES PORT CAPTAIN’S ALLEGATIONS. Received Jan. 1, 5.5 p.m. BARCELONA, Dec. 31. A Republican communique states that Gibraltar authorities refused the request of the captain of the Jose LuL Diez for an extension of his stay to ensure seaworthiness, so he went to sea to avoid internment. He alleges that he was attacked while in British territorial waters. A communique issued by the rebels insists that only the mine-layer Vuicano engaged the oJse Luis Diez. It does not mention the loss of the minelayer or the ramming of another.
