The News-Chronicle, h. an editorial headed “Yielding to Fon?e,” draws the attention of the Prime Minister to his broadcast on September 27, when he said he was disposed to resist any attempt to dominate the world by force. It quotes Lord Halifax’s frank admission that the German claim was pressed under an overwhelming show of force and says that Mr. Chamberlain, despite what aas been done, apparently is not so convinced even yet that he capitulated to force and gave a deadly blow to what remained of the machinery for collective settlement of differences.
