WOOL PRICES HIGHER
THE SYDNEY SALES Received Oct. 10, 11.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 10. The offering at to-day’s wool sales consisted of 12,342 bales, of which 11,830 were sold at auction and 932 privately. Very strong competition prevailed, especially on French account. The market, compared with last week, was from part to live pet cent, higher. Excellent clearances were effected. Greasy Merino made 16Sd. The average of wool at last week’s auctions was £l5 6s 10d a bale, or 10.3 d per lb.
