INCIDENT AT ARAMOHO BEHAVED IN DISORDERLY MANNER A fine of £3 and 10s costs was imposed on Kenneth Murray West in the Magistrate's Court yesterday by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., on a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner in the Aramoho Boating Club’s shed when it was being used for a public meeting. Senior-Sergeant L. R. Capp said that on the night of October 4, Mr. H. C. Veitch, National candidate, was addressing a meeting. This had been in progress for some time when defendant arrived and went up to the front of the' shed and took a seat. He started to persistently interject and was asked by Mr. Veitch to keep quiet. He persisted in interjecting, and, following some remark by the candidate about some supporters of the Opposition party, defendant stood up and remarked: “Members of your party are humbugs. I am a gentleman and my father was a gentleman, and that is more than you are. The chairman, Mr. A. E. Halligan, asked defendant to sit down. He used insinuating remarks to the chairman. He was then ejected and tried to reenter the building. He was drunk, added Senior-Sergeant Capp and no doubt thS'Tiquor was the cause of the disorderly behaviour.
