PALESTINE FORCES TROOPS AND POLICE DECISION IN LONDON [By Telegraph—Prese Association—Copyright] LONDON, Oct. 9. As a result of conferences between the Colonial Secretary, Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, and the High Commissioner in Palestine, Sir Harold MacMichael, the Colonial Office is sending to Palestine four infantry battalions, armoured cars, and a battery of artillery, and is augmenting the police force with ex-servicemen. There are 13 battalions and two cavalry regiments at present in Palestine. A battalion of the Green Howards and a battalion of the Irish Fusiliers has ieft Malta for Palestine. The conferences on the situation in Palestine between Sir Harold MacMichael and Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, at whose request Sir Harold MacMichael is in London, will, it is understood, be resumed to-morrow and probably last over Tuesday.
