RETURN SURVEY FLIGHT

BRITAIN’S NEW AIR ROUTE TO WEST AFRICA LISBOND-LONDON NON-STOP [ British Official Wireless ] RUGBY, Oct. 9. The return survey flight between London and Lisbon for British Airways was made this afternoon by the super Lockheed 14, which landed at Hston at 4 p.m. after a non-stop flight lasting 51 hours. The chairman of British Airways stated that the flight marked the preliminary survey of the first stage of Britain’s new air route to West Africa and South America.

“The reception we were given in Portugal,” he added, “leads us to believe that trade will be facilitated and advanced by the regular passenger and mail service between London and Lisbon.”
