SYDNEY WATER SUPPLY
OFFICIAL ANXIETY LOW RAINFALL FOR EIGHTEEN MONTHS. SYDNEY, Aug. 11. Sydney’s water supply is getting so low that it is causing oflicial anxiety. The shortage is due to under-average rainfall for 18 months. Severe restrictions are now being imposed, precluding the use of hoses for any purpose except fires. No new sewerage reticulations are allowed.
