CONVENTION STILL IN PROGRESS OUTPUT TO BE RESTRICTED. Received Aug. 11, 8.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 11. The Sydney coalminers’ convention is still debating the log claims which it intends to forward to the various Governments and colliery proprietors. The latest decision reached by the convention to-day was to order a restriction of output of coal in all mines and so prevent an accumulation of stocks by gas companies, railways and other large oflicial and private undertakings, which are anticipating a protracted stri’ FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL NOT INTERVENE PRIME MINISTER’S STATEMENT. Received Aug. 11, 11.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 11. The Prime Minister, who arrived at Sydney to-day after a tour of Queensland, said the Federal Government would not intervene in the coal dispute. He declared that it was a matter for the New South Wales Government.
