Minister of Labour Io inquire into the dismissal of a baker's ciriver, v.-hich was the alleged cause of a stoppage of work at the bakery of Messrs. G K. Mathieson, Ltd., Mount IFFn, cat! this month, opened it.; sittings ii Auckland to-day and set in the even* ing. Mr. S. L. Paterson. S.M.. nf Hamilton, presided, and with him were Messrs. Nevffon, of Wellington, formerly Secretary for labour, an’ Mr. Tyson, of Auckland, former Inspector of Factories. The chairman stated that ti e board was required to consider whether or not the employer had been justified in dismissing lhe driver o er whom the dispute had arisen. The union had undertaken o abide by the board’s decision and the employers tc find employment for the driver without loss nf wages if the decision wai in the union's favour. After hearing all the evidence decision was reserved.
