EVEREST EXPEDITION

THIRD ( AMP PROVISIONED PARTY RECOVERED FROM COLDS. LONDON, May 25. A Times copyright letter from Tilman states that camp three, which stands 21,000 feet underneath North Col, has been fully provisioned. It will be used as an advanced base for operations for actual climbing. When the camp was first occupied at the end of April the weather was temptingly line and sunny, but after living at this height for a few days the party found the wind too violent and temperatures too low to make so early an attempt on the summit. The party spent a few days in Charta Valley, where they recovered from sore throats and coughs.
