WESTERN COUNCIL MEETS OFFICERS FOR COMING YEAR HAWERA, May 25. Al the annual meeting of the western council of the New Zealand Royal Agricultural Lcciety at Hawera this morning the following executive committee was elected: Messrs J. Knight (Feilding), Hugh Kissling (Palmer ston North), E. W. Barnett (Halcombe), D. Collis (Kairanga), R. O. Dalrymple (Bulls), R. Marshall (Mi:, ton), H. C. Sampson (New Ply. mouth), J. webb (Taihape), j. Batchelor (Linton). A. Hunter (Hawera). W. Craig (Wanganui), and H. J. Lancaster (Levin), Mr E. W. Barnett was clccteJ chairman, Mr Hugh Kissling honorary secretary, and Mr N. R. Neilson (Palmerston North) auditor. The secretary was granted an honorarium of £lO 10s. The bal-r ce-sheet showed a credit of £43 9s 6d, the principal item of expenditure being the grant to th? Royal Show of £4O The tollowing councillors were elected to the council of the New Zealand Royal Agricultural Society: Mbssrs Barnett, Lancaster, Sampson, Knight, and Craig
