RETIRED TO THE STUD

BEAU FERE FILLY While many of the progeny of Beau Pere showed excellent form in two-year-old events this season, Mr. G. R. Macdonald was unfortunate with the filly he purchased at the sales. Now named Submit, she is from Timid, an imported mare by Kildare II from Ardesia, by Spearmint from Floweretby Persimmon. She met with a mishap and she never got past the preliminary part of her education. She was sold a few days ago to Sir Charles Clifford, and she will join the matrons at the Stonyhurst Stud, where her English blood lines should make her a success.
