AIRMAN KILLED

’ ACCIDENT IN ENGLAND YOUNG CHRISTCHURCH PILOT CHRISTCHURCH, May 10. .Information has been received by his parents of the death in England of Acting-Pilot Officer Errol Desmond Gimson, formerly of Christchurch. Mr. Gimson, who was 21 years of age, left Christchurch last Npvembei to take up a commission in the Royal Air Force, and his death resulted from an aeroplane accident which occurred in England last week. Deceased was the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gimson, and while in Christchurch was deputy-leader of the Christchurch North branch of the Toe H movement, and an active member of the Anglican Harrier Club. He was also a member of the Christchurch Accountant Students' Society, and was a member of its debating team last year in the annual contest with the Wellington Society. Mr. Gimson had done very little flying before he left New Zealand.
