The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dated April 29: Fruit: Dunedin Star discharged (London; Durham discharged at Avonmouth, discharging Liverpool. Port Auckland, Port Melbourne, and Poet I Alma discharging at London next i week. Apples: Fair demand. Pears; Market slightly weaker. The following are the market values of sound-conditioned fruit of the varieties mentioned, the range of prices generally representing the difI ference between the several grades and/or counts. Variable-conditioneu fruit of similar varieties proportionately less in value. Red Delicious apples, 11s, 12s. Kidd’s Orange Red apples, 11s, 12s. Cox’s Orange apples, 7s 6d, 12s. Cleopatra apples, 10s, Ils, i Jonathan apples, 9s 6d, Us. Delicious apples, 10s. Dunn’s Favourite, Ballarat, Alfriston, and Willie Sharp apples, 9s, 10s. London Pippin, Lord Wolseley apples, Bs, 9s. Comice pears, Ils, 15s, Trays, 4s, 7s, Packman’s Triumph pears, 10s, 12s. Beurre Bose pears, 10s 3d, 11s 6d. Winter Cole pears, 10s, 11s 6d. Conference pears, Bs, 10s.
