WANGANUI ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE LARGE ATTENDANCE OF DELEGATES An executive meeting of the Wanganui Rowing Association was held last evening, the president, Mr R. J. McDonald, presiding over a large attendance of delegates. A letter was received from (he Auckland Rowing Club complimenting the association on the manner in which the championship regatta was conducted under very trying circumstances. A letter was received from Mr Halyburton-Johnstone, stating that he was disappointed in not being given an opportunity to present the cups for the champion fours and interprovincial eights, and also further stating that he had not been invited to the smoke concert on the Monday evening—lt was decided to write to Mr Halyburton - Johnston advising him that, in view of the continued postponements of the races and the fact that the majority of the competing crews left the city within an hour or two of the racing being concluded, no opportunity arose for the presentation of the cups in question, and he was to be further informed that no smoke concert was held on the Monday evening, nor had one been set down for that night. Appreciative reference was made in regard to the work of Messrs Gowan, Kelly, L. Young, H. and W. Ryland, and other willing helpers who had assisted the association at the various functions held during the season and at the championships at Easter. The report on the Empire Games rowing at Sydney is to be the subject of a special meeting of the association on Tuesday week. The following further donations have been received by the association towards its funds: Dr. A. H. E. Wall, £1; Mr F. J. Soler, £1 Is; Mr J. Simpson, 10s 6d; Mr E. Fowler, 10s; J. B.
