WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MONTHLY MEETING

The Ohingaiti Women’s Institute monthly meeting was held in the hall on Tuesday last, April 12. A wellattended meeting was presided over by Mrs. J. B. McKnight, who welcomed the members and thanked them for their confidence and support. The meeting opened with the Creed and the Ode to Friendship. Miss Lilian Stent demonstrated on the making of wood-pulp flowers, ana was accordca a hearty vote of thanks. The competitions resulted as follows: —Spray of flowers, Mrs. Bartlett 1, Mrs. Pritchard 2; shortbread, Mrs. McKnight 1, Mrs. Perry 2. The meeting was a very interesting one. The hostesses were Mesdames Darragh. Cole and Bartlett.
