LADIES’ AUXILIARY The monthly meeting was held on Wednesday, April 6, Mrs Hair presiding over a good attendance. One new member was elected. Mrs Hair thanked all who helped with the catering at the Makirikiri sports, which was a very good effort, and special thanks were conveyed to several firms who gave donations of bread, etc. The soldiers’ tea on Anzac Day was discussed and the ladies agreed to do the same as last year, all members to provide sandwiches, savouries, etc., and to purchase cakes. Mr Allan (hon. secretary) was present and gave a brief report. A presentation was made by Mrs Hair on behalf of the auxiliary to Mrs Pollock, who has resigned from the office of secretary after a number of years.
