Garfath, of the Wanganui telegraph staff, have received notice of their impending transfer Io Auckland whore they will undergo instruction at t-he school of telegraphy. Lev. R. Dudley, of Trinity Methodist Church, Wanganui, returned tu the city last night, from | the north, where he spent part of • his vacation. He will resume preach- | mg to-morrow. • Mr E. A. Eutlerlield, district solidi tor at Gieymouth, has been transferred , to Wellington, where he will take up i the position of legal clerk in the Pub- ■ lie Trust Oilice. He joined the staff ;in 1925, after legal experience in : Hawke’s Bay and Taranaki. His place ■at Greymouth will be taken by Mr A. i j. Quill, Wellington. j Mr. C. Firmin, caretaker of the i Aramoho baths, was fare welled on 1 the final club night of the season, i those present extending good wishes ; to himself and Mrs. Firmin for theii ■six months’ trip to England. Mr. i Jillett, on behalf of club members, made presentations to Mr. and Mrs Firmin. Mr. Valentine Duff, of New Plymouth, formerly secretary of the Taranaki Employers’ Association, who has been appointed employers’ representative on the Second Court of Arbitration in succession to Mr. W. E. Anderson, of Auckland, will take up his duties as a member of the Court on Monday. Mr. Anderson concluded his duties yesterday.
