ANNUAL MEETING A SUCCESS The annual meeting of the Pukeroa Sports Club held on Saturday, March 26, was well attended, the fine day attracting a good crowd, many coming from some distance. To complete the day a dance was held during the evening in the local hall. At a suitable juncture opportunity was taken to make a farewell presentation to Mr. C. H. Reynolds and family who, after being residents of the district for many years, have decided to take up farming near Te Kuiti. Addresses of appreciation were given by Mr. V. Toulmin, Mr. H. J. Tod and Mr. J. D. Lilburn, the lastnamed calling upon Mr. Reynolds to accept a canteen of cutlery for himself and his wife and a serviette ring I for each of the three children. A [suitable and fitting response was made Iby Mr. Reynolds, who thanked the people for their kindness and tokens *of esteem. Dancing was continued land the evening was concluded with [the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
