DULL SALE AT FEILDING
INFLUENCE OF DRY WEATHER [ Per Press Association.] FEILDING, April 1. The influence of dry weather, with : a consequent shortage of feed, was again felt at the Feilding sale to-day, where all business was restricted. Store sheep were particularly dull of sale, with cattle a little better. Mutton and beef prices were fair. The range of prices was: — Fat Sheep. —Ewes, 15s to 19s lOd; prime maiden do., 23s lOd to 25s Sd; lambs, 26s to 27s 9d; wethers, 22s to 28s. Store Sheep.—W.F. lambs, 10s to 13s lOd; b.f. lambs, 9s 6d to 13s; ewe lambs. 17s 6d to 18s 8d; m.a. ewes, 245; forward wethers, 20s 9d to 25s 6d. ■ Cattle. —Weaner heifers, £1 Ils to £3; forward cows, £3 16s to £4 4s, 20 steers, £4 10s to £5 10s; 20 P.A. heifers, £5 7s to £5 10s; cows with calves, £5 2s. Fat Cattle. —Cows, £5 10s to £8 2s 6d; heifers, £5 5s to £8 ss; steers, £5 7s 6d. Dairy Cattle.—Springing cows, £7 10s to £8 10s; springing heifers, £5 to £9 10s; heifers in milk, £4 10s to £6 15s. ________
