RESULT OF TESTIMONIAL | CONCERT I PROFIT OF £l7 REAIJSED. j | I ■ At a meeting yesterday morning of j [the Citizens’ Committee which organ-I ised the Wanganui Garrison Band tes-I timonial concert it was reported by i the honorary treasurer (Mr. F. J. | Best) that the undertaking had re-i suited in a profit of £l7 Is Bd. It was reported by the joint organisers (Messrs. C. R. White and p. Latham) that all who nsoistec the pro-, ject had done so with a ready willing--! ness that had been encouraging. The Opera House staff, firemen, programme boys and Mr. R. Howel), who painted the posters, had given their services gratuitously and the donation they thus made, expressed in terms of money, amounted to £5 4s JOd.
