SLEEPING CHILDREN SHOT. Received March 18, 9.55 p.m. CENTER (Texas), March 17. Mrs. Lillie Curtis, aged 38, shot dead her six sleeping children, sparing the seventh and eldest, aged 15. She said: “I uad no money, and they were better dead. I did not kill the eldest because he can go to work.” Mrs. Curtis shot dead her husband in the same manner three years ago, when sentence was suspended after a conviction.
