JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES MISS BEVERLEY WINS SINGLES Received March 9, 10.35 p.m. SYDNEY, March 9. To-day's results in the junior tennis championships were as follows: Girls' Singles (under 21). —Final: Miss Beverley defeated Miss Douthett (both New Zealand), 6-2, 6-3. This was an excellent match in which Miss Beverley played very well. Girls’ Doubles (under 21).—Semifinal: Misses Beverley and Douthett (New Zealand) defeated Misses Armstrong and Wilson (New Zealand), 8-6, 7-5. This match was splendidly contested right through, the volleying and ground strokes being excellent. Girls' Doubles (under 19).—Miss Armstrong (New Zealand) and Miss Farrell (New South Wales) defeated Misses Irwin and Kelso (New South Wales), 6-1, 8-6. The winning pair now enter the final. Girls’ Doubles (under 17).—Miss Hodges (New Zealand) and Miss Irwin (New South Wales) defeated Misses Nowland and Tansey (New South Wales).
