DUNEDIN’S EXPERIENCE. 5.4 PER CENT. OUTSTANDING. DUNEDIN, Dec. 22. The last day for payment without penalty of the city rates for lhe year ended December 22, 1937, was to-day. Of the total of £287,896 payable, £272,544, or 94.6 per cent, was received by the City Treasury, leaving outstanding £15,352, or 5.4 per cent., on which the penalty will be imposed.
