OBITUARY

DR. DAVID EPPSTEIN [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 19. The death occurred of Dr. David Nathon Eppstein, aged 33, a wellknown Christchurch surgeon. Playing this afternoon at the Tmpleton Country Club’s golf course, he complained of feeling unwell and was taken immediately to his home, but he collapsed and died on the journey. Dr. Eppstein was born at Wellington and educated at the Auckland Grammar School and Otago Medical School. He studied medicine and surgery in London, where he was resident surgeon on various London hospitals, and attended London University. He was a Fellow of lhe Royal College of Surgeons and of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He leaves a widow and one child.
