PAN-AMERICAN AIRWAYS. NOT DEPENDENT ON MAIL CONTRACT. Received Dec. 17. 9.50 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 17. Pan-American Airways denied the reports that the New Zealand service was contingent on the American airmail contract. The company said that their plans did not depend on the contract.
