IMPROVED POSITION INCREASE IN EMPLOYMENT [ British Official Wireless.] RUGBY, Dec. 16. The Labour Party’s censure motion cn the Government’s handling of the problems connected with the special areas was debated in the House of Commons. The Minister of Labour (Mr Ernest Brown), in his reply, said that there had been a great improvement in these areas since the Special Areas Act had been in operation. After detailing the improvement in the conditions in the special areas he said that in November, 1934, the total registered unemployed in the special areas was 440,931 but on October IS last it was 265,952. Compared with a year ago there was in July an increase in the numbers at work of 100,000.
