SOVIET “WRECKERS”

SCIENTISTS DISMISSED LONDON, Dec. 16. The Daily Telegraph’s Moscow correspondent says a number of “wreckers of astronomy" have been removed from the Soviet observatories. The entire Astronomical Council of the Academy of Sciences has been liquidated and the president (M. Fesenkoff) dismissed. It is asserted that the scientists delayed choosing sites for new observatories.
