MEETING TO DISCUSS FINANCE. INTERESTED LOCAL BODIES. L Per Press Association. ) WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. A meeting of delegates from all local bodies in the Wellington province, called to consider the unsatisfactory finances of the National Art Gallery and Museum Trustees, at which the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) presided, was held today. A motion was carried that the meeting support a proposal that local bodies should make contributions to the revenue of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum and Carillon, and an allocation, estimated to produce £4075 from lacal bodies in and around Wellington, was approved on the understanding that the Government increased its contribution by £lOOO. The estimated annual budget showed a deficit of £55,500.
