BRIGHT TONE AT WOOL SALES
REPORT FROM SYDNEY GOOD SUPPORT FROM JAPAN Received Dec. 16, 10 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 16. At the wool sales 10,368 bales were offered and 9360 sold, 1108 privately. At the closing auctions of the halfyear to-day competition was animated, with Japan providing good support. The market ruled in sellers’ favour for best description of both Merino and crossbred. Other sorts were unchanged. Greasy Merino made to 2S2d, which is a record with Sydney market this season.
