TRIBUTES TO HER FEATS TOASTS IN LONDON Received Nov. 25, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 25. “It is impossible to adequately pay tribute to this great woman who has done so much for civilisation,” said Baron Semphill, toasting Miss Jean Batten at the annual dinner of the Women’s Automobile Sports Club. "Her achievements added glory to the women pioneers of aviation. Hers and and (Houston's feats brought honour to New Zealand. Those present included Sir Malcolm Campbell, Lieutenant-Colonel J. T. C. Moore-Brabazon (pioneer motorist and aviator and the first Englishman to fly in England), and Amy Johnson. Miss Batten had tea with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of London at the Mansion House. Those present included Viscount Wakfield and Mrs. W. J. Jordan, wife of the New Zealand High Commissioner in London.
