MR. S. S. DEAN’S MOVE MATTER TO BE REOPENED. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. The chairman of the executive of the New Zealand nugby Union, Mr. S. S. Dean, at a meeting of the executive at Wellington to-night, gave notice that he would move at a meeting of the Council of the Union on December 10 that the decision of the council passed at a meeting held on October 22 that the New Zealand tour to Australia be not undertaken next year but we would favourably consider an invitation to visit Australia in 1939, be rescinded. Referring to a cable message which had been received from Sydney that day, Mr. Dehn said it was a great pity that members of the executive communicated with Rugby officials in Australia on the subject. Mr. F. T. Glasgow: To be frank, I admit I wrote to Mr. W. H. Cerutti on the subject. VISIT TO AUSTRALIA N.Z. TEAM LIKELY TO GO. SYDNEY, Nov. 24. Unofficial letters and cables from the New Zealand Rugby Union Board were received in Sydney stating that it would be taken for granted that the decision not to send a team to Australia in 1938 would be reversed at a meeting of the New Zealand Union on December 12.
