SWIMMING NOTES 1 MEETING OF TAIHAPE CLUB A meeting, of the executive committee of the Taihape Amateur Swimming Club was held this week, when there were present: Messrs. D. Woodhead (chair), R. McLennan, N. Powell, E. Marsh, B. Niven, H. Easton, W. King, J. Lloyd, M. Reid, and the secretary (Mi. W. Hayes). The following officers were elected: Secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Jones; referee, Mr. H. Galbraith; starter and timekeeper, Mr. H. Bond; starter steward, Mr. Auld; announcers, Messrs. Mullany and Goer; judges (swimming), Messrs. Cherry, J. Quinn, J. Bridson, P. Duncan and Goer; judges (diving), Messrs. R. MacLennan, W. Healey; call stewards, Messrs. W. Jones, Eric Sisson, and E. Mercer; handicappers (adults), N. Powell, Woodhead," W. Healey, (children), Messrs. Kelly and Wimsett, social committee, Messrs. N. Powell, J. Lloyd and M. Reid; club nights, Friday, the first to be held on Friday, December 3, at 7.30 p.m., subject to sanction ol the borough council.
