RAETIHI BOWLING CLUB. The teams selected to represent the Raetihi Bowling Club in the Thompson Banner, Taumarunui Shield and Rangitikei Shield matches played each other at the week-end with the following result: — Thompson Banner.—Beer (s), Burgess, Parkes, Anderson 27 defeated Heine (s), Head, Shaw, May 10. Taumarunui Shield. —Scarfe (s), F. Bryers, Fagg, Hogg 18 defeated Lynch (s). Soar, McNie, Davis 15. Rangitikei Shield. Drury (s), Urwin, Comer, Willoughby 25 defeated R. Bryers (s), Coury, Paulger, Ward 17. Next Sunday representatives of the Taihape Bowling Club visit Raetihi. In the morning the returned soldier games will be pleayed off and in the afternon the inter-club matches for the Thompson Banner, Rangitikei and Taumarunui Shield competitions will be played off. TABLE TENNIS. On Monday evening a ladies’ table tennis tournament was played at Mr. C. McGilvray’s rooms. Keen play ensued and the winner (Miss Piki Taiaroa), off a 12 handicap, was the recipient of a handsome cup. Following are the results of the play:— First Round Winners. Section 1: Miss Piki Taiaroa (12) was the winner with 37 points. Section 2: Miss V. Ward (12) was the winner with 37 points. Section 3: Miss Cairncross (6) and Mrs. D. Carmichael (6) by default. Section 4: Mrs. Raymond (12) was the winner with 41 points. Section 5: Miss R. Watson (3) was the winner with 34 points. Miss G. Willoughby (3) received a bye. Second Heat Winners. Section 1: Miss Cairncross (6) won with 31 points. Section 2: Miss Piki Taiaroa (12) won with 40 points. Section 3: Miss V. Ward (12) won with 31 points. Third Heat. Miss Piki Taiaroa (12) defeated Miss V. Ward (12) by 31 points to 25. Miss Cairncross received a bye. In the final Miss Piki Taiaroa (12) defeated Miss Cairncross (6) by 37 points to 21. In a most enjoyable and instructive exhibition game Mr. J. Brady defeated Mr. J. S. Macdonald by 31 points to 25.
