CROWD THRILLED AT MANGEKE. 1 Per A:>.-.o«alkiii. 1 AUCKLAND, Nov. 7. A parachute descent from a height of one mile, which ended in an unexpected landing on a small island in the Manukau Estuary, created considerable excitement for a large crowd at the Mangere Aerodrome this afternoon. G. W. Sellars was responsible for several thrills in the staging of his final part and' provided an exciting climax to the event. After his jump from the machine it became evident that a sudden change in the strength and direction of the wind would prevent the parachutist making the landing ground. Sellars eventually landed on the scrub at Wairoa Island. Vanity Fair Continued on Page Five.
