Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated November 4, for North Island frozen meat quotations, as follows (i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc): — ’Down lambs, 28/361b. 8d per lb, 36/421b. 7 7-8 d; crossbred lambs, 28/ 361 b. 7 7-Bd, 36,'421b. 72d; second quality lambs, average 30/31Ib. 71d; wethers, under 481 b., 5 5-Bd, 48/561b. 4 7-Bd, 56/641b. 4id, 64/721b. 4 3-8 d; ewes, under 481 b. 3 7-Bd, 48/561b. 3id, 56/64 lb. 3 3-Bd, 64/721b. 3 I-8d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/2201b. 3 5-Bd. Compared with last week’s quotations. ’Down lamb and crosbred lamb l-8d per lb. higher. Ewes, 64721 b. l-8d per per lb. higher. Ewes, 64/721b. l-8d per market is quiet. WHEAT MARKET LIFELESS SYDNEY, Nov. 4. The wheat market was lifeless, reacting to a further drop overseas. Wheat was quoted at 4s 9*d a bushel. Old silo grain was on offer at 4s Bd, less storage charges. • Other quotations were: Flour, £l2 5s a ton; bran and pollard, £7; potatoes, Tasmanian, £6; others, £4; onions, brown, £l5; ■naize, yellow, 5s 9d a bushel.
