WANGAEHU
GOLF CLUB. The final of the medal matches played by the winners of the season’s monthly competitions was won by P. Jones who returned 99—33—66. The runner-up (B. Wilson) with 78 —11— 67 established a new record for the course, doing each nine holes in 39, a very creditable performance. The final of bogey matches also was won by P. Jones with 2 down, the first nine holes yielding three wins and six halves. The runner-up was S. Holmes, with four down. Arrangements are now well forward for the closing next Saturday, when mixed foursomes will be played. For this members will arrange their own partners. The trophies won during the season will be presented at the dance to be held in the Wangaehu Hall next Saturday night.
MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. The local club shot against Westmere on the Wangaehu range for the last association shoot of the season. R.
