LORD NUFFIELD’S OFFER FOSTERING SOCIAL STUDIES LONDON, Oct. 12. In the hope of producing a How of well-equipped recruits to industry, Lord Nullield offered £1,000,000 to Oxford University to endow a college devoted to social studies, also a site and an additional £200,000, the objective being to facilitate the co-opera-tion of academic and non-academic persons.
