The yarding showed a slight increase in numbers and while the ox quality was satisfactory that of the cows was below standard. Extra choice ox sold at 41s per 1001 b.; choice and prime, 37s to 40s; unfinished, 27s to 365. Extra heavy steers ranged from £l6 7s 6d to £lB 15s; heavy, £l5 to £l7; medium, £l3 10s to £l5 17s 6d; light, £ll 5s to £l3 17s 6d; unfinished, £8 10s to £ll 15s; extra heavy cows and heifers, £ll to £l3 10s; heavy, £ll 15s; medium, £8 to £lO 15; light, £6 to £8 15s; unfinished, £3 10s to £7.

A short supply of sheep lacked prime quality, but all values were very firm. Shorn sheep predominated.
