Whitebait in demand The price of whitebait ruling in Wanganui at the present time has fallen slightly and at 4s a pint, the delicacy is finding ready sale. Earlier in the season up to 6s a pint was being charged. Small quantities of the fish are being caught locally and it is from Foxton and Napier that the bulk of the available supply is coming.
