BRITISH FLAG DISAPPEARS

MILITARY HEADQUARTERS AT ALEXANDRIA. Received Oct. 12, 10.30 p.m. ALEXANDRIA, Oct. 12. After nearly half a century the Union Jack has ceased to fly over the British military headquarters. The British and Egyptian national anthems were played as Nahas Pasha pressed an electric button which unfurled the Egyptian flag. The building will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities in accordance with the plan of capitulations on October 15, when the consular courts will be abolished.
