At the close of the programme the chairman (Mr. E. Rountree) thanked the parents and children for their splendid effort on the school’s behalf and paid a tribute to the teachers for their work in training the children. Mr. Rountree welcomed Mr. D. McKay, an ex-head teacher of the school, whom one and all were pleased to have with them on that occasion. The concert was followed by a dance (M.C., Mr. C. Morrison) interspersed with children's games.
