AFFRAY ON STEAMER
FIREMAN BEFORE COURT [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Oct. 11. As the result of the affray on the steamer Port Brisbane on Saturday night, James Gibbons, ship’s fireman, appeared at the Police Court to-day charged that, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, he assautle.i William McLeod, thereby causing him actual bodily harm. In obtaining a remand until to-morrow, the police said that the ship was to sail on Wednesday and to-morrow they would know better the condition of McLeod... who was in hospital.
