PERSONAL. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hopkinson, motored to Wellington last week to attend the O’Connor—Escott wedding. Mr. and Mrs. McHardie and their daughter Jean, have returned from New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Vile are spending a holiday in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Canbourn and Miss Canbourn, of Masterton, were the guests of Mrs. Hartwell, last week. Mr. Edmond Dickie, is an inmate of a private hospital at Hawera. Mr. D. Thorburn, of the local Post Office, has been notified of his transfer, on promotion, to Auckland. While here he has proved himself to be a most courteous and obliging officer.
